PERSONALITY:
Feisty is probably an understatment, but it's a fitting word. She's incredibly energetic, and loves getting herself into dangerous situations. She's incredibly bold and doesn't really let fears get to her easily. While she looks like a hedonist, she takes pleasure in helping others and doesn't like people getting harmed because of her misgivings. She's very compassionate and forgiving, and while she might be rough with you, it's only because the world around you is. She can be immensely critical and inquisitive, which while she isn't particularly 'intelligent' in the traditional academic sense she does know how to think through things. She's also very opinionated and honest--together, these make her a near-literal Simon Cowell. If she doesn't like how something's going down, you bet your ass she's opening her trap.

BIO:
Knickers came from a long line of angels who were very particular about swearing fealty to God; and as such many of her kin were in direct service of the Higher Purposes and of rank, she herself was expected to follow in these ranks. She was prepared for this, and didn't see much of a problem with it; however complications in red tape ended up in her not taking on sagehood or anything that simply involved tending to god; no, she ended up enrolled in training for North Sector's Heaven Investigative Unit--her parents, while worried their daughter would have harm befall her, didn't directly oppose the idea because she was still serving the greater good and God's ultimate plan. Keeping heaven working properly was a part of that! She could even find herself in the prestigious 8th division, founded by four heroes of Heaven's past who were responsible for several important Trans-Astral busts. That REALLY excited her parents, the idea of their kid, being a legendary detective not only protecting heaven but angels to be? Now THAT was something!

Too bad she was utterly terrified of combat and wasn't prepared for that sort of lifestyle at all. For a while, academy was tough; she was picked on by tougher angels for her meek dispositition, and it took a big hit on her self-esteem. She'd meet another angel there, though, named Garter. She'd stand up for Knickers one day, and since then they somehow ended up inseperable. Slowly Garter's habits started to rub off on her, just a bit; and she'd grow to become a decent fighter, and even moreso an investigator--she had a keen wit and grew a refusal to accept things as just so, making her a threatening sleuthing force.

After a while they'd graduate, and for a little while they were FANTASTIC cops. They'd even manage to climb a rank, maybe two--and they'd end up transferred from the North sector over to the West, in the Daten District--budding talent like themselves could easily prove themselves in this hellhole, and it'd give them a taste for grittiest work that wouldn't come anywhere else but a faultline. They were proving themselves more than capable, and Knickers was eager to take the challenge at this point--being part of the 8th would be within reach in a place like Daten, and she'd earn a lot of respect for that!

Sadly, while investigating reports of gang activity in heaven, they managed to slip up, both almost simultaneously. Knickers thought she was asexual--after all, nothing particularly appealed to her for the longest time about sex, especially while in academy. What was the point when she still had things to learn? She couldn't just NOT focus on the task at hand, you know? Relationships felt extranneous. That being said, somehow someone caught her attention and they'd casually see each other for a while--eventually, they'd decide to do it one day.
Sadly the day they'd do it Garter managed to get a lead on the gang's location. She wasn't anywhere near the place at the time, and once she managed to actually get ready...said perp was long gone, and not a trace was left of the gang.

Even though it was only one time, it was pleasure before work, and because of decisions in her youth, her rising virtue was, at the time, ....Chastity. This made her single blunder a gigantic stain, and she'd take her leave to Daten's surface to fix her errors.

Since then, she's managed to resolve her sin--after all, it was just poor descision-making and she spent a long time trying to figure out any issues so she wouldn't repeat her mistakes--but decided to stay in Daten! She figured if someone like her could get so easily kicked out of heaven, maybe the system she was involved with was just a little flawed. And while the 8th didn't deal with fallens, the HIU itself usually did. She didn't really feel like getting involved with a system she had no idea how to fix! So instead she's been hanging around on the surface, getting to know fallen angels better and hopefully help them rehabilitate!
And boy is she LOVING IT--Fallens can be little ingrates, but honestly, she's had more fun as a ghost wrangler in Daten than she'd ever have in any Beat in Heaven. The 8th would've been cool, and she probably would've been doing the same stuff, but she's figured out a way to do it without all the paperwork and honestly...that's damn liberating.

Fallen Angels--Really! As annoying as they are, she honestly believes there's something that can be learned from why they fell, because sometimes there's angels like her that just get boned by the system. And heck, they're the most human of all, because they've seen the human condition at its worst.

-Never did kick that sweets habit that she got trying to keep Garter in line. She's got enough sense to not let it get the best of her, but damn is it hard.
-demiromantic pansexual. Identifed as demiromantic asexual at one point, but soon realized that might not have been the case.
-While she finds sad guys aesthetically attractive, they try her patience entirely too much after a while, and she has to distance herself. This leads to some issues...
-Trained in an educational establishment that was partially geared toward a heaven's equivalent of a Police academy. She's tough as nails and will fight you bare-fisted if she needs to, though her technique is a little rusty since it's been years since she's actually been with the HIU.
-Speaks English and French, understands German but doesn't speak herself; She's very prone to slipping into Lad speech and often uses slang that originates from lad culture (ie she has a tendency of calling things cheeky and/or tactical)
-She...started off as an Agnes Oblige expy, I swear. At this point she's a parody of a crack Agnes muse I used back in 2014, probably.
